How does this work? What does a virtual assistant do?

Virtual Assistants come alongside you in your daily business tasks — whether they be administrative, creative, marketing, or social media, or all of the above — to give you the time and freedom to do what you were made to do. They work remotely and can take the repetitive tasks, the mundane tasks, and the tasks you simply don’t have time to complete and handle them simply and efficiently. They can also handle tasks that may not align with your strengths and add a whole new dimension to your business!

What tasks should I delegate to my virtual assistant?

There are SO many things you can delegate to a VA.  Things that would make your life easier and your business run smoother! My bet is that you are wasting a lot of time on things that could be passed off to someone else so that you can free yourself up to do things only YOU can do in your business.

Make a list of things you hate doing, things that are time-wasters, tasks that are not within your special set of skills, gifts, talents - aka: Zone of Genius! Need more ideas? Here is list of things you can delegate to a virtual assistant

How much does it cost to hire an assistant?

This really can vary depending on who you hire, their experience, and the work they will be doing for you. You will probably pay somewhere between $18-$35+ per hour when hiring a virtual assistant. Remember you will get the service you pay for. Usually experienced and skilled VAs will be charging at the higher end of that average.

At Rock Solid we have many different sized packages and work hard to meet your individual needs rather than standardizing everything.  Our smallest package includes 10 hours per week with your VA. From there, we’re very flexible. You can increase your hours by any increment at any time!  If you have a big launch coming up and you know January is going to be ultra-busy, we can increase your hours for that month only and then drop back down to your baseline in February.

How do the VAs handle their hours?

Usually, virtual assistants use a timer to log the time they spent on each task during the day. Depending on how closely you want to monitor their hours, you can request a weekly report or an end of day report each day.  You should be able to see what tasks they did each day and the amount of time they spent doing them. You get to decide how they use their hours- so it is really important to sit down and think about your goals and how your VA can help you reach them.

How do you find the right VA?

This part is a lot harder than you might expect. You want to find someone with the right experience, who is proactive, and has a personality that meshes well with yours.

You can do a google search, search on Facebook, ask a friend for a referral, but the easiest way to find a great VA is to ask us!

At Rock Solid Virtual Assistants, we do all the background work, testing, evaluating, and (insert sigh of relief) - we handle the match-making!  Working with us not only means you’re getting a VA who is tested and whose skills are above the bar every time, but it also assures you that you’ll have a VA who matches your work style and personality.  Best of all, you have a full management team behind you every step of the way for support!

We work with the best assistants in the business. We take them through a lengthy 7-step application process plus an hour-long video-interview and ask them all the right questions.
